Decorative Arts Collection

Penn’s Woods Painters is a proud contributor of the Decorative Arts Collection Museum. As part of its continuing support, the chapter donated $250 to DAC at the end of 2009.

Individual members have an opportunity to support the museum as well.   For $40 annually you can be a Friend of the DAC. Your money helps to support the DAC and the acquisition and maintenance of fine examples of decorative painting. Your Friendship also helps to preserve techniques and knowledge of decorative art. As a Friend of the DAC you will receive the DAC Newsletter and you are eligible for discounts on DAC merchandise (charms, note cards, etc.).

When you become a friend of the DAC you will receive our handsome pin. The pin is a pewter-like replica of our signature gooseneck coffeepot. You can proudly wear this pin as an outward symbol of your financial support.

As an added inducement to become a Friend, the DAC has initiated a Friends Renewal Incentive Program. Each consecutive year you renew, you will receive a limited edition porcelain pin representing a piece in the DAC. The Friendship year runs from July 1 of a given year until June 30 of the following year. To receive each year's porcelain pin you must renew in consecutive years; if you should not renew for one or more years, you will revert to the coffeepot pin and lose the opportunity to own the current porcelain pin. These renewal pins will only be ordered in quantities to meet the current year's needs. These pins will not be made available for sale at any time. The renewal pin for the 2009-10 giving year features impressionistic roses painted by Trudy Beard. Trudy is a long-time supporter of the museum and has numerous works in the Museum's collection.

Become a Friend of the DAC. You will help to secure a place in history for decorative painting.
