Fall Harvest Fair

 

Historic Schaefferstown, Inc.’s mission is the collection is the collection, preservation, study, and dissemination of the history and folk culture of the Pennsylvania Germans in South Central Pennsylvania.

One weekend every fall the Alexander Schaeffer Farm comes alive for the Fall Harvest Fair. Visitors enjoy period artisans, crafts, wonderful baked goods, field and farm demonstrations, traditional music and entertainment. Penn’s Woods Painters participated in Historic Schaefferstown’s Annual Fall Harvest Fair in 1991 – 1994 by creating and selling traditional clay ornaments.

 

 

As part of our community service project, in 1991 we painted hex signs for the Alexander Schaeffer Farm.
